In
the beginning of 2001 Nocturno decided to work on the first melodies and
lyrics for his new born one-man project, Xerión, a name extracted from the
ancestral celtic mythology from Galicia.
Between 2001 and 2004 three demos were recorded and they were released and
re-released in a lot of editions and through a difference of labels.
Between the end of 2002 and the beginning of 2003 Nocturno decided to find
members to complete the band's line-up in order to perform his music over the
stage. In august 2002 Daga joined him on keyboards duties and after some
comings and goings, Lovo and Notna joined the band as guitar and bass
players. So, with the help of a drum machine, the first live shows are done and
new records are released: the 3-way-split with Omendark and Nakkiga, and the
split CD with Decayed.
In the beginning of 2006, already with Aboriorth on the drums kit and after the
first live show outside Spain in the IV Metal Attack from Covilhâ
(Portugal), Nocturno decided to return to his origins
and continue with Xerión as one-man project. He composed the first
album called “Nocturnal Misantropía”, recorded in the end of 2006 at Mafia
Records Studios with the help of Daga on keys, Aboriorth on drums, and Iron on
guitars. And other ug releases were made…
In 2007 Xerión signed at Schwarzdorn Production for the release of their first
album on CD. It contains an exclusive video-clip recorded at some great places
of Galician lands.
After that some gigs in the north of Spain, Portugal and Germany (in the Interregnum Festival) were
made. In 2009/2010, without Aboriorth, a new EP called “Pálida Morte,
Negra Sombra” was recorded. Between february and march of 2010 more gigs with
bands like Desaster, Negura Bunget, Heretic or Decayed were made through Galician
and Portuguese lands.
The band has finished the recording of their second full-lenght
album called “Cantares Das Loitas Esquecidas” currently which will see the
black light this year 2010 under Schwarzdorn Productions again.
